Diagnostica Stago Announces STA Coag Connect ™ Launch

Parsippany, NJ (March 31, 2010) - Diagnostica Stago, Inc. announced today the introduction of the STA Coag Connect™ as a software accessory for the STA® Family of Hemostasis analyzers and more specifically, as an ideal enhancement for the STA Compact®. The STA Coag Connect™ meets the challenge of risk management, provides enhanced features, and empowers laboratories to control the release of patient coagulation test results. A single STA Coag Connect™ can be used to manage up to four coagulation instruments.

STA Coag Connect™ offers enhanced Quality Control and multiple lot management. With Remote QC, the Quality Manager can access Quality Control results and charts of connected instruments within a hospital, Integrated Health Network and/or remote clinics. The auto verification capability of STA Coag Connect™ provides an efficient “Review by Exception” process that optimizes both operator time and test result turn-around time (TAT). An easy to use rule-based system offers flexibility and efficiency. By setting customizable auto verification rules, users can concentrate on inconclusive patient results. Test results within the rules and ranges are approved and released automatically in a consistent, standardized manner.

Enhanced security and traceability via user management rights and authentication is accomplished by multiple user logons and auto verification. There are multiple administrator controlled user levels with different access statuses. All results can be automatically archived per user-defined protocols, including maintenance actions.
